Can I check the remaining life of my Brother machine's drum?

You can view the percentage of your drum's remaining life by following these steps:

  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down Arrow key until the LCD displays "3. Machine Info."

  3. Press the Set key.

  4. Use the Up or Down Arrow key to select "3. Drum Life."

  5. Press Set again, and the LCD will display the remaining Drum Life.

  6. Press the Stop/Exit key to exit the menu.

Even if the Remaining Life of the Drum is displayed as 0%, you can continue to use your current drum unit.  For the best print quality, it's better to replace the drum unit with a new one.



The Drum Life count will be accurate if you reset the drum counter ONLY when you install a NEW drum unit. If you reset the drum counter during the life of a USED drum, then the Drum Life will NOT be accurate.
