Print speeds, stated as pages per minute, reflect measured values based on Brother's particular testing conditions and are for reference only. Actual print speed may vary depending on printing conditions such as computer configuration, operating system, document complexity, printing frequency, connection method, application software, and other factors. Print speed testing does not take processing time and data transfer time into account.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVING PRINT SPEED
If you feel your Brother machine's print speed is too slow, please try the following suggestions for the printer driver settings:
- The highest resolution needs longer data processing, sending, and printing time. Try the other quality settings in the printer driver's BASIC tab.
- Click COLOR SETTINGS in the printer driver's ADVANCED tab and uncheck Color Enhancement (True2Life®).
- Turn the Borderless Printing feature off in the printer driver's BASIC tab. Borderless Printing is slower than normal printing.
SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVING COPY SPEED
You can adjust your Brother machine's Copy Quality setting to improve its copy speed. You can select one of the following Copy Quality settings:
- Fast: Fast copy speed and lowest amount of ink use. This setting can be used to save time when printing documents to be proofread, large documents, or many copies.
- Normal: The default Copy Quality setting. This setting produces good copy quality at a good speed.
- Best: Used to copy precise, complex images, such as photographs. This setting provides the highest resolution and the lowest speed.
You can change the default Copy Quality setting (Case A) or for the next copy only (Case B).
