I cannot print using FLe tape and get an error message.

Download and install the latest version of the firmware from the [Downloads] page, when you print from the printer or P-touch Editor using FLe tape and one of the following messages appears on your computer screen or printer's LCD:

  Error Message
For P-touch Editor (Windows)

After "Media check" button is clicked:

Printer is off-line or no media is installed.
After "Print" button is clicked:
The tape cassette installed in the machine does not match the type selected in the application.

For P-touch Editor (Mac)

After "Media check" button is clicked:
Your P-touch does not support the type of tape in your machine. Replace tape before printing.
After "Print" button is clicked:
The tape cassette installed in the machine does not match the type selected in the application.

For PT-D800/E800 series Tape Not Detected! Check if compatible tape is installed correctly
For PT-P950NW with Touch Panel Display Tape Not Detected! Use Compatible Tape
