Turn off Distinctive Ring

MFC-J4340DW

  1. Press Settings.
  2. Press image or image to select the following:
    1. Select [Fax]. Press OK.
    2. Select [Miscellaneous]. Press OK.
    3. Select [Distinctive]. Press OK.
    4. Select [Off]. Press OK.
  3. Press Stop/Exit.

When you turn off Distinctive Ring, the machine will stay in [Manual] mode. You must set the Receive Mode again.

MFC-J4440DW/MFC-J4540DW

  1. Press image [Settings]>[All Settings]>[Fax]>[Miscellaneous]>[Distinctive].
  2. Press [Off].
  3. Press image.

When you turn off Distinctive Ring, the machine will stay in [Manual] mode. You must set the Receive Mode again.
