Replace Periodic Maintenance Parts

Replace the following parts regularly to maintain print quality. The parts listed below must be replaced after printing approximately 50,000 pages *1 for the Paper Feeding Kits of the MP tray, approximately 100,000 pages *1 for the Paper Feeding Kits of the optional paper tray, and approximately 200,000 pages *1 for the Paper Feeding Kits of the standard paper tray, Fuser Unit, and Laser Unit.

Contact Brother customer service or your local Brother dealer when the following message appears on the LCD:

Replace the Paper Feeding Kit for the Multi-purpose (MP) Tray.

The replacement frequency depends on the complexity of printed pages, percentage of coverage, and the type of media used.

The kit includes the roller holder assembly, separation pad, and separation pad spring for the paper tray or MP Tray.

If you use the Optional Tray(s) with your machine, this message will appear on the LCD. When the machine has multiple Optional Trays, the machine displays messages using numbers corresponding to each Optional Tray.
