Factory Reset

Use the Factory Reset function to restore all settings back to the factory settings.

Unplug all the interface cables before you perform a Factory Reset.

HL-L2402D

  1. Press and hold image to turn off the machine.
  2. Make sure that the front cover is closed and the power cord is plugged in.
  3. Hold down Go as you press image to turn on the machine. Keep Go pressed down until the Toner, Drum, and Paper LEDs light up.
  4. Release Go. Make sure that all LEDs turn off.
  5. Press Go eight times.
    Make sure that all four LEDs light up, indicating that the machine has been reset to its factory default settings.

HL-L2400DW/HL-L2400DWE/HL-L2442DW/HL-L2445DW/HL-L2447DW/HL-L2460DN/HL-L2865DW

  1. Press image or image to select the following:
    1. Select [Initial Setup]. Press OK.
    2. Select [Reset]. Press OK.
    3. Select [Factory Reset]. Press OK.
  2. Press image to select [Reset].
  3. Press image to restart the machine.
